Seattle gay softball seeks new players
The 2010 softball season is gearing up to start on April 11th.
The second ECSA Skills Assessment will be held on March 14 at 11:00am at the Rainier Ball Fields located at Rainier Avenue and Alaska Street and should last about 2 hours.
The Skills Assessment for the new ECSA 2010 season will be conducted to help new, current and returning players locate teams that are looking to add people to their rosters. The Assessment will be broken up into 3 sections (hitting, throwing and fielding). There will be evaluators in each section observing and giving a preliminary rating to new and returning players (current players should have updated ratings already). The people evaluating the skill levels will give each person a suggested Division to play in.
There will be representatives from teams that are looking for players at the Skills Assessment and will have a moment to introduce themselves and give a pitch about their teams. When the Skills Assessment is completed, the players and teams will have an opportunity to talk and make connections.
Following the Skills Assessment, there will be social get together at one of the local ECSA team sponsor locations (that will be announced at a later date). A softball glove is required. Cleats and an athletic protector are optional, but recommended.
Our goal is to find everyone who wants to play a home so if you are not having luck finding a team, please email the Membership Director at membershipdirector@seattlegaysoftball.com.
Best of luck to everyone this season and have fun!!
