New to gay softball?
We're always looking for new players of all skill levels. With four different divisions with varied levels of play, there really IS a team for everybody. It doesn't matter if you're a superstar athlete who played college baseball — or if you've never played in an organized sports league before. In fact, 40% of our teams play at the recreational level.
New to Seattle?
What a great way to meet 400 people who share a common hobby! And it doesn't require making introductions at the bar. Okay, softball players spend plenty of time in the bars, especially after the games are through on Sunday afternoons but gay softball gives you a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Many people agree that the social aspect of the league is one of the benefits they enjoy most.
Our playing seasons
Our regular season runs from April to July, with teams beginning to form in January or February. Our more casual "fall ball" season gets organized in August, with games being played in September and October.
Tools and resources to get you started.
If you think you might be interested in playing, first check out the Team Matchmaker page. You can create a posting there letting the team managers know you are looking for a team. Next, feel free to send an email to our Membership Director who will have in-depth knowledge of the process and potential team opportunities. They can also answer any questions you may have. Additionally, you should also look at our Skills Clinic page, which is another great way to find a team. We hold public skills clinics at least twice before our regular season to help you find a team or build new teams.
Another alternative is to check out the Team Matchmaker page, which is usually most active from January through April. While not for our regular season, you might be interested in playing on one of our teams for a weekend in an out-of-town tournament. Check out the Tournament Matchmaker to see what opportunities are available.
