Teams of the Week
B Division Team of the Week: Vendetta
"Vendetta played great ball all day and secured their first win of the season."
There were no other nominees for the B Division.
C Division Team of the Week: Thrusters
"The Thrusters had (2) great wins on Sunday including a win against the current team in first place in the C Division. The played great defense all day long. "
There were no other nominees for the C Division.
D Division Team of the Week: Elite
"The Elite is a brand new team and had had one of the most difficult teams to play in the first half of the season. Today The Elite took on two very worthy teams and came out ahead of them both. The Rockets and the Buzz put up a good fight in both of their games against the Elite. The Elite put up a good fight and showed that this new team was a a team that ready to play. In both games the Elite played their hearts out. This team had outstanding infield play and solid outfield as well. The Elite bats were on fire. Smart pitching also played a solid role in both wins today."
There were no other nominees for the D Division.
Players of the Week
B Division Player of the Week: Randy Robison (Shock)
"Randy played great defense all day including a couple a great grabs at shortstop - he also was on fire at the plate."
There were no other nominees for the B Division.
C Division Player of the Week: Cookie (Thrusters)
"Cookie played great ball yesterday and got his first homerun. You know it had to be a great hit to get Cookie around the bases for a homerun."
Other nominees included Rick Cordona.
D Division Player of the Week: Andrew Childs (Inferno)
"I would like to nominate Andrew Childs of Inferno for player of the week. In the past 2 weeks, Andrew has hit safely 9 out of 10 times, with 10 RBIs, 7 runs scored, 2 home runs, a triple and 3 doubles---not to mention playing stellar 3rd base (a position the man has never played before). The growth I have seen from this player has been tremendous, and he certainly deserves to be player of the week."
Other nominees included William Pontius, Ken Kramer, Richar Newman, and Arthur Satterfield.
