From The Team:
Once upon a time, there was a team named "The Throttle". One year, the team experienced a rocky start to their season which left them sad. Luckily, Cookie stepped in mid-season to help structure practices and coach them on the field and helped the team finish the season with some great wins and the desire to rise from the ashes of the past to be reborn. This desire gave birth to “The Phoenix.”
Under new management, The Phoenix will be run with more structure, however the team will keep the great attitude they are known for on the field. Sportsmanship has always been and will continue to be the driving force of this team.
Simple key goals unify our team:
1. The Phoenix wants to become an even more competitive team by improving on individual skill levels.
2. The Phoenix wants to represent itself and its sponsors in the local community as well as nationally.
We are sponsored by The Seattle HIV Vaccine Trials Unit (seattlevaccines.org) and our ‘home bar’ is Purr Cocktail Lounge. We will have fundraisers there and hope to include you in them.
